We are now looking for driven, independent and enthusiastic Lead Mechanical Engineers as below: · Detailed knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices applicable to offshore oil and gas asset. · Associated technical standards and relevant legislation. · Established supervisory and leadership experience of maintenance scheduling, organizing, coordinating and controlling of work including the management of contractors and vendors. · Equipment is safely and effectively maintained in accordance with CPP expectations, Regulatory and other relevant codes and standards. · To supervise other team members in the safe and efficient operation of the CPP and wellhead platform. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, accountabilities include: · Able to carry out planned mechanical maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system. · Experienced in undertaking fault finding, installation, isolation and re-instatement on mechanical systems and equipment – both rotating and static. · Communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner. · Manage risk in an effective manner. Be action orientated, results driven and able to inspire others. · Extensive knowledge in diesel generators, turbines, hydraulics, and compression trains, rotating equipment and cranes. · Supervisors to Minimize equipment down time. · Ensure underlying causes of failures are understood and appropriate action taken to avoid repeat failures. · Ensure mechanical maintenance work is scheduled and prioritized in line with maintenance work. · Management processes, including the raising of relevant work permits. · Highlight defects in practices, procedures, equipment and tools to the attention of relevant staff. · Monitor and maintain environmental control measures. · Emergency response role (see station bill). - Carry out Emergency Response role as per station Bill. - Demonstrate competence during Emergency Response Drills and training exercises. · Training & competency. - Achieve the desired competency level as described in the CASYs Job Competency Profile, mentor and assess others within your sphere of responsibility or as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. - Facility Specific Training Matrix - VN-05_1DEV-HCM-O-TA-016. Minimum Competencies: · Mechanical Technologist Certificate in Mechanics or equivalent. · 5 years related experience in a marine or Topsides maintenance environment. (offshore oil and gas operations would be an asset) with 1-3 year experience in lead mechanical position. · Working knowledge of regulatory and industry codes applicable to the maintenance disciplines. · Working knowledge of marine and / or Topsides related mechanical equipment. · Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, condition monitoring and with the application of computerized maintenance management systems. · Familiarity with the theory and practice of rotating equipment and vibration analysis. · Experience with the operation and maintenance of gas turbine driven generators, diesel engines, multi-stage centrifugal pumps and compressors, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems and associated auxiliary equipment. · Ability to read relevant technical drawings and piping specifications. · Effective communication skills (written, oral and computer). · Leadership and teamwork skills / behaviours which support a team based organization. · Proficient in English both written and verbal.
